Rajamanohar Somasundaram (Raj) is the Founder & CEO of Aquaconnect, a full-stack aquaculture startup with embedded fintech that uses Artificial Intelligence and Satellite Remote Sensing to bring transparency and efficiency to the aquaculture value chain. Aquaconnect has emerged as India’s largest aquaculture platform, enabling market linkages for farmers, retailers, and seafood buyers to access formal credit, farm inputs, and post-harvest markets. The company also focuses on leveraging its AI and Geo Spatial technologies to build a climate-tech platform to decarbonize the seafood value chain by quantifying emissions and strategizing countermeasures
Raj is a seasoned tech entrepreneur with two decades of experience in developing internet and mobile technology-driven businesses. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, he also holds a diploma from Harvard University and a fellowship from Stanford. The World Economic Forum has recognized him as one of the 'Young Global Leaders 2012' for his exceptional leadership and contribution to 'Mobile4Good' initiatives in emerging markets.
